átoa is a unique theatrical aquarium that combines digital art, an aquarium, and stage art to create an immersive experience. It has eight original and fantastic spaces, including the "Cave" and "Spirit Forest." One of the most impressive spaces is the Japanese-themed "MIYABI," where you can witness scenes of Japan's four seasons represented in paper cutouts with beautiful light production. You can also enjoy watching Japanese creatures gracefully swimming and dancing around your feet. This space embodies the spirit of "wabi-sabi."
Another must-see space is "PLANETS," which boasts one of the largest spherical aquariums in Japan. Here, you will be surrounded by mist, lasers, and music, which create an unrealistic and immersive experience that feels like you have stepped into a scene from a movie or stage play.
After the tour, head to the rooftop "SKYSHORE" to enjoy delicious sweets and drinks from the átoa café while taking in the breathtaking views of Kobe Port during the day and night. Don't forget to check out the átoa-exclusive goods and Kobe-esque souvenirs in the museum shop.
