An exhibition where you can experience Zen in the world of the 96th Academy Award-winning film 『君たちはどう生きるか』!
Originating from the book 「禅とジブリ」, which compiles conversations between Studio Ghibli producer 鈴木敏夫 and Zen monks, 『禅とジブリ』 Kyoto Exhibition is an unprecedented immersive exhibition offering an encounter with ❝Zen❞ through Ghibli films.
The exhibition’s spaces are centered around 宮﨑駿’s latest film 「君たちはどう生きるか」 (2023), which recorded the highest overseas attendance in Studio Ghibli history. Through iconic lines and stills from each film, as well as calligraphy by producer 鈴木敏夫, the exhibition brings a “Zen”-inspired perspective vividly to life.
This exhibition has no “answers.”
Please enjoy it as you would a leisurely detour.
In Kyoto, where Zen temples and Zen culture still thrive as part of everyday life, take “one little rest after another.”
