Kyoto Aquarium is located in the spacious Umekoji Park, surrounded by forests and lawns. It is a special aquarium where you can deeply experience the connection between living creatures and nature. You will be amazed by the power of the dolphins. You will be impressed by the unique personalities of the penguins.
If you are interested in a particular creature, you can talk with a keeper. They will share special information with you, conveying their affection for the animals. On display are Japanese giant salamanders that have survived since ancient times, as well as recreated rural landscapes. One of the key themes of Kyoto Aquarium is the coexistence of life brought about by the blessings of Kyoto’s water.
Like an oasis in everyday life, this is a place you will want to stop by whenever you can. You will discover something new every time you visit. You will feel refreshed. You will become more gentle. We would be delighted if you could have these kinds of experiences.
