The experience begins with a breathtaking performance by one of Japan’s foremost active iaido masters. Using a genuine Japanese sword, the performance showcases authentic samurai techniques combining precision, control, and spiritual discipline. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the performance from close range. Iaido is a traditional Japanese martial art centered on a series of movements, from drawing the sword and striking to returning it to its scabbard. Although the samurai class disappeared in the latter half of the 19th century, its spirit and philosophy continue to be passed down through iaido. After the demonstration, an explanation of the basic movements and principles of iaido will be provided. With comprehensive safety measures in place, participants can use a practice sword to experience the movements themselves. You can participate with peace of mind while respecting the traditions of this martial art. After the performance, you may choose to enjoy a Wagyu sukiyaki dinner.
