Cómo transcurre el día
Day 1 · 06:00
The car meets you in the hotel lobby while the roads are still empty. The early start is deliberate — after nine in the morning the Hakone pass fills with tour traffic and the photographs stop working.
Day 1 · 08:00
Up the Hakone Turnpike, the best mountain road near Tokyo, stopping at the viewpoints along it. On a clear morning Mount Fuji stands whole on your left.
Day 1 · 10:30
Around Lake Ashi and the sulphur vents at Owakudani. The driver sets you down at each entrance and goes to park, so none of the day is spent looking for a space.
Day 1 · 14:00
Over to the Fuji Five Lakes, stopping at Kawaguchiko and Oishi Park. Afternoon is when the water is flattest, which is when the mountain's reflection actually shows.
Day 1 · 17:30
To the hotel for the night — either staying by the lakes or back in Tokyo, whichever you choose at booking.
Day 2 · 09:00
A later start than day one, down to Yokohama along the bay road. The second day is deliberately slower because its centrepiece falls after dark.
Day 2 · 11:00
Minato Mirai and Yokohama Chinatown, with time for an unhurried lunch. If anyone wants to shop, this is the longest stop of the two days.
Day 2 · 16:00
Back to the hotel to rest and change before the night leg. There are a lot of photographs later, which is worth a break in the middle.
Day 2 · 18:00
The night leg begins: Tokyo Tower as the lights come on, then out to the Daikoku car park in the middle of the bay. Your car parked there is part of the scene rather than something watching it.
Day 2 · 20:20
Night photographs at the Shibuya crossing, then the trip ends in central Tokyo around 21:00.

Condiciones que conviene saber antes
- The Alphard seats seven. The royal-lounge Lexus LM500 has only four seats and the Mercedes G63 four as well — a party of five or more takes the Alphard, or tells us in advance so we add a second car.
- Which car you get depends on what is free that day; the earlier you book, the more certain we can hold the one you want
- Book 72 hours ahead, pay 48 hours ahead
- The Hakone pass can close for snow or a storm. If that happens we reroute to the lakes and tell you beforehand, not when you get there.
- Nobody can promise how many good cars turn up at Daikoku on a given night; that gathering is spontaneous

- No es una confirmación inmediata. Usted envía una solicitud al final de esta página y respondemos con un presupuesto por escrito: el precio final, qué incluye exactamente y las condiciones de cancelación de ese viaje concreto. La reserva existe solo cuando acepta ese presupuesto. Más lento que un botón de reserva inmediata, pero no le vendemos nada que en realidad no esté disponible.
- • ¿Nos agruparán con otros viajeros?
- No. Todos los circuitos de estas dos secciones son privados: solo su grupo, su vehículo y su anfitrión. Sin compartir y sin esperar a desconocidos.
- • ¿Qué necesito para conducir yo mismo?
- Su permiso original en vigor MÁS un permiso internacional expedido conforme al Convenio de Ginebra de 1949, ambos en papel; las fotos del móvil no valen. Japón no reconoce los permisos del Convenio de Viena, así que algunas nacionalidades necesitan una traducción oficial. Indique su nacionalidad en la solicitud para que lo comprobemos con antelación y no lo descubra ante el coche.
- • ¿Dónde son la recogida y la vuelta?
- Recogida y regreso en su hotel dentro del área central de la ciudad indicada, incluidos en el precio. Fuera de esa zona también vamos a buscarle: el suplemento se escribe en el presupuesto, nunca se añade al subir al coche.
- • ¿Se puede cambiar el itinerario?
- Sí. El horario de arriba es la versión que mejor funciona, no un molde rígido. Más tiempo al volante, otra comida, una noche extra o suprimir un tramo: escríbalo en su solicitud; el precio se ajusta y el cambio queda detallado en el presupuesto.
- • ¿Qué idiomas habla el equipo?
- Indique el idioma que desea en su solicitud. El presupuesto le dice si hay alguien que lo hable disponible EN SU FECHA: no prometemos un idioma para luego avisarle el mismo día de que no hay nadie.
- • ¿Cuándo y cómo se paga?
- No paga nada antes de leer y aceptar el presupuesto. Forma de pago, fechas y qué parte necesita un anticipo para bloquear una reserva de terceros están todas escritas en él. Después no aparece nada nuevo.
- • ¿Con cuánta antelación conviene reservar?
- Cuanto antes, más seguro. Helicópteros, habitaciones de ryokan, superdeportivos y mesas en restaurantes pequeños tienen muy pocas plazas al día: el dinero no las crea. Pregunte igualmente si sus fechas están cerca: si hay hueco lo tomamos y, si no, se lo decimos claramente.
Cancelación y cambio de fecha
Las condiciones de cancelación de su viaje se escriben en su presupuesto y usted las lee ANTES de pagar nada.
No publicamos una regla única del tipo «cancele X días antes y le devolvemos el Y%» para toda la sección, porque cada viaje bloquea reservas distintas: un vuelo chárter, una habitación de ryokan, un superdeportivo, una mesa de pocos comensales. Cada proveedor tiene sus condiciones y la mayoría se paga por adelantado. Una cifra común quedaría ordenada y sería la cifra equivocada en casi todos los viajes.
El principio que mantenemos: lo que aún no se ha pagado a un proveedor puede cancelarse, y lo ya pagado que el proveedor no devuelve lo llamamos no reembolsable en voz alta, en el presupuesto y no cuando usted pide cancelar. Si quiere otra fecha, pregunte antes de cancelar: mover una reserva suele costar mucho menos que anularla.
