Asakusa & Skytree
Start the day in Asakusa, one of the old towns of Tokyo, with a visit to Senso-ji and a stroll through the surrounding streets for souvenirs and delicious street food. In the evening, head to Tokyo Skytree for amazing sunset views from one of the largest towers in the world.
Museum Day
Choose between two great areas: head to Odaiba for immersive digital art at teamLab Planets (or Borderless) and a stroll along the waterfront, or explore Ueno’s museum district with highlights like the Tokyo National Museum and National Museum of Nature and Science.
Harajuku & Shibuya
Start with a peaceful walk through Meiji Shrine, then dive into the energy of Takeshita Street. Spend the afternoon exploring Shibuya before catching sunset views from Shibuya Sky.
Tsukiji, Akihabara & Shinjuku
Begin at Tsukiji Outer Market for fresh seafood and street eats, then head to Akihabara for anime, games, and electronics. Wrap up the day in Shinjuku, wandering areas like Kabukicho or Omoide Yokocho.
Kawaguchiko (Overnight)
Take an early trip to Kawaguchiko for a slower day by the lake, with scenic walks and a ropeway ride. In the evening, check into a ryokan and unwind in an onsen.
Kawaguchiko → Yokohama
Enjoy morning views of Mount Fuji (if visible), then return toward Tokyo. Spend the afternoon in Yokohama exploring Minato Mirai and Chinatown.
Tokyo → Kyoto
Spend your last Tokyo morning shopping in a neighborhood like Shimokitazawa or Koenji, then take the shinkansen to Kyoto. Arrive in the evening for dinner and a relaxed first look at the city.
Higashiyama & Fushimi Inari
Start early at Fushimi Inari Taisha, then explore Higashiyama’s highlights including Kiyomizu-dera, Sannenzaka, and Gion.
Nara Day Trip
Take a day trip to Nara to visit Todai-ji and wander through Nara Park, famous for its friendly deer. Return to Kyoto in the evening.
