Abe River Fireworks Festival
The "Abe River Fireworks Festival" (安倍川花火大会), beloved as a summer tradition in Shizuoka City (静岡市), is a historic event that has continued since 1953, held in remembrance of war dead and for regional revitalization. Attracting numerous spectators every year, its scale and power are among the largest in Shizuoka Prefecture.

- Venue and Access from Nearest Station: Held at the Abe River riverbed (安倍川河川敷) (around the upstream side of Abe River Bridge (安倍川橋) and downstream left bank of Anzai Bridge (安西橋)). As it's about a 35-minute walk from JR Shizuoka Station (JR静岡駅), using public transportation is recommended. Traffic regulations will be in effect on surrounding roads on the day, and parking is limited, so early travel is essential.
- Number of Fireworks & Visitors: Approximately 15,000 fireworks are launched. Annually, it attracts a large number of visitors from both within and outside the prefecture.

Atami Sea Fireworks Festival
The Atami Sea Fireworks Festival (熱海海上花火大会) is a signature event in Atami (熱海), held more than 10 times throughout the year. Because the fireworks are launched in Atami Bay (熱海湾), which is shaped like a "mortar" surrounded by mountains on three sides, the sound of the fireworks reverberates, creating a powerful acoustic effect as if you were in a stadium. The "Dai-Kuchu Niagara" (大空中ナイアガラ - Grand Aerial Niagara) that concludes the show is a must-see.
