Sapporo in Winter — Japan's Snow Paradise

Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido and the most beautiful snow city in Japan. From mid-December to late February, the entire city is blanketed in 50–80cm of snow, with temperatures between -5 and -15°C — freezing cold, but a magical sight you won't find in Tokyo or Kyoto.

Winter in Sapporo wraps up the four best things in one: Yuki Matsuri snow sculptures, the Sapporo Beer Museum, piping-hot miso ramen, and onsen in the snow. Here's a detailed 4-day guide so you don't miss a single moment.
